ZZT creator profile:
Jeff "Fejj" Conroy

when and how did you first get into ZZT?
My friend, MikeNDoe (aol), told me about it one day in school. I believe it was January, 1996.

how many ZZT games have you created? what are they?
So far, only Wizard's Tale and a couple of mags.

do you plan to make any more games?
Ya betcha! Right now, I'm working on Merlin, [Wizard's Tale's sequel], HOOPS, a game in which you get to play BBall, and MMS, a complex 3D maze.

what things do you consider most important in a ZZT game?
Number one priority in ZZT game making is this: Make the game fun to play. I mean, what's the point in ZZT game making, actually, game making at all, if you don't have fun playing a certain game? Runner-ups are programming and graphics.

what tips, if any, would you give aspiring ZZT programmers?
Use aLOT of creativity! Whether it be new programming techniques, graphics, RPG battles, whatEVER! You MUST use creativity into your game.

what are your favorite ZZT games?
Oh, in no particular order: Code Red [despite what everybody else says, _I_ like it], Overflow, Warlord's Temple, Mission:Enigma, Sivion, Nightmare, the list goes on... But, my absolutely FAVORITE game ever is Wizard's Tale. But that's because I made it. :)
