When and how did you discover Game Maker?
I was shown Game Maker in October 2002 by Shawn Noel who goes to my school. I was automatically hooked onto Game Maker.
Have you used any other game creation programs?
I messed around a little bit with RPG Maker, but I didn't get anything finished with it.
What games or other projects have you made with (or for) Game Maker?
I have made over 30 games/programs, though only about half are available for download, they can be found at http://www.dexxent.com.

Albero and the Great Blue Emblem
What are your favorite Game Maker games?
Seiklus by tapeworm
What are your favorite games NOT made with Game Maker?
Almost all games by Nintendo (Zelda, Mario, Golden Sun, Kirby, etc...)
The Sims by Maxis
What advice would you give new Game Maker users or those who would like to improve?
Stick to originality, it is always better to fail at originality than to succeed at imitation. Always look for ways to improve one what you're doing.
What elements of a game are most important to you and why?
I think game play, originality, and replayability are all very important, because they are what you're playing the game for. Graphics are not as important, but they should be decent. Sound doesn't matter that much to me, but I can see how some people really fret over it.
Why do you make games? What is your primary inspiration, motivation, or both?
I make games for several reasons, I find it fun, I love to create things and this really lets me do that, and it feels really good to get comments on your hard work. I am motivated by my friends and their comments.
Do you have other artistic pursuits other than game development? If so, what?
I make Flash Cartoons and Pixel art as well.
